To encourage financial literacy and investor safety, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has taken part in the global Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy campaign, which is run by the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and backed by the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE).
In order to strengthen financial and investment knowledge throughout the Abu Dhabi community and business ecosystem, ADX expanded its ongoing ESG commitment to provide inclusive financial education by launching a campaign called Understanding Financial Investment and How to Invest in the Securities Market.
A number of workshops that were arranged in association with ADX member companies are part of the program. For instance, the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (DED) and ADNOC Distribution participated in two workshops that ADX and broker partner BHM Capital recently held. The workshops covered various subjects, such as an overview of securities markets, the significance and worth of investments, investment strategies and risk management, and spotting investment opportunities in publicly traded companies.
The new program strengthens ADX’s current partnerships with regional universities, business associations, and academic institutions to increase financial literacy and investment understanding throughout the United Arab Emirates.
