A new interline agreement between SriLankan Airlines and flydubai, the airline based in Dubai, will go into effect on September 9, 2024. It will provide more travel options on specific routes within the carriers’ networks between the UAE and Sri Lanka.
With this agreement, flydubai customers will have access to 16 Sri Lankan destinations in Australia, the Middle East, Southern and East Asia, and Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, and Melbourne.
Thanks to the interline, passengers flying on Sri Lankan Airlines will also be able to effortlessly connect through Dubai’s aviation hub to over 30 destinations in Africa, Central Asia, Central and Southeast Europe, and the Middle East. These include well-known vacation destinations like Mombasa, Naples, Tashkent, Krakow, Bucharest, and Zanzibar.
We are thrilled to collaborate with Flydubai to offer our customers smoother connections and more convenience. This collaboration bolsters our plan to broaden our network and reach internationally while providing clients with increased flexibility and travel options. Richard Nuttall, the CEO of Sri Lankan Airlines, stated, We are excited to work with flydubai and welcome their guests on board to experience an authentic Sri Lankan journey.
Under the new agreement, passengers are provided with convenient single-ticket itineraries, through-checked baggage, and coordinated flight schedules.
