Emirates Suspends Check-in for Travelers who have Stopovers in Dubai.

As of April 19, at 23:59 (GMT), Emirates is no longer accepting check-ins for passengers traveling through Dubai for subsequent connections. It stated that this is to help operations at our Dubai hub recover from the recent poor weather.

Passengers in transit and already in Dubai will continue to be processed for their flights. If Dubai is their final destination, customers can check in and continue their journey as normal. Customers are urged to check the most recent flight schedules on http://emirates.com and anticipate delays for arrivals and departures. The airline said impacted customers should contact their booking agent or Emirates Office for rebooking options.

The airport released a statement today (Wednesday): “We recommend that you avoid visiting the airport unless it is absolutely necessary.

“There is still delay and diverting of flights. Kindly contact your airline directly to check the status of your flight.  We are making every effort to resume operations as soon as feasible despite challenging circumstances.”

As of right moment, Emirates has confirmed that the check-in hours for travelers leaving Dubai International Airport on Wednesday are 8 a.m. to midnight. Passengers in the air and arriving in Dubai, however, will still be attended to.
