The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), with participation from Emirates Integrated Telecommunication Company (EITC) and Emirates Development Bank (EDB), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch the Transform 4.0 program per the goals of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology and under the auspices of the Technology Transformation Program (TTP).
The program will enable businesses to implement 4IR solutions and revolutionize the industrial sector in the United Arab Emirates by identifying 100 high-potential manufacturers and assisting them in embracing the digital era. The goal is to establish Industry 4.0 lighthouses in three to five years. This program demonstrates a common goal of enhancing the country’s competitive advantage through substantial digital breakthroughs.
In line with the objectives of the National Strategy of Industry and Advanced Technology, in particular, in the area of 4IR adoption, the Transform 4.0 program is a testament to the UAE’s proactive and forward-thinking approach to embracing the potential of Industry 4.0,” stated Tariq Al Hashmi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for the Advanced Technology Sector at MoIAT. It emphasizes our commitment to strengthening the manufacturing sector’s capacities and ensuring it stays at the forefront of efficiency and technological innovation.
