Low Prices Airline Tickets Starting on September 1 for Those Seeking Amnesty

According to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP), airlines have agreed to offer discounted air tickets for those who fall under the categories that benefit from the grace period for overstaying violators and those who wish to return to their home countries. The grace period is set to begin on Sunday, September 1, 2024, and last for two months. The ICP clarified that meetings were held to brief domestic and international airlines on the specifics of the grace period for violators.

The airlines reportedly stated that they would assist and would be willing to offer those who benefited from the grace period discounted tickets for a period of two months.

The ICP urged violators to take advantage of the time frame allotted to change their status. They should do this by submitting their requests through the ICP’s electronic and smart channels as well as the authorised typing offices, beginning on September 1, 2024. Unless they receive notification requiring biometric fingerprinting, violators are not required to visit service centres.
