During a visit by a high-level team from the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, was met by Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chaves Robles at the country’s capital, San José.
In the course of the meeting, Al Zeyoudi expressed to the Costa Rican leadership and populace the best wishes for continued prosperity, advancement, and well-being on behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The United Arab Emirates’ latest endeavor to boost its non-oil international trade value to above Dhs4 trillion by 2031 is the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the two nations.
During the tour, Al Zeyoudi met with several ministries and high-ranking government officials in an effort to quicken the two nations’ economic cooperation. The parties then celebrated the CEPA’s signature and its involvement in ushering in a new chapter in their relationship.
Al Zeyoudi, the Emirati delegation’s meeting with Costa Rica’s Minister of Foreign Trade, Manuel Tovar, praised the expansion of non-oil trade between the two friendly nations, reaching US$65 million in 2023.
