The inaugural World Food Security Summit (WFSS) will be held in Abu Dhabi on November 26–27 at the Adnec Centre Abu Dhabi, under the auspices of Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA). This summit is included in a portion of Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Security Week’s (ADAFSW) events.
The summit, which is being arranged by Adnec Group in strategic collaboration with ADAFSA and UAE F&B Manufacturing Group (FBMG) as a knowledge partner, aims to promote discussion and concrete actions towards creating a sustainable global food system and ending hunger.
The World Food Security Summit will cover local, national, and global issues and offer a forum for sharing innovations and best practices in food security.
Food security is a major global challenge requiring the combined efforts and cooperation of all stakeholders worldwide to find innovative solutions to end hunger, a key UN Sustainable Development Goal, stated Saeed Al Bahri Salem Al Ameri, Director-General of ADAFSA, in remarks regarding the launch.
