The international airport of the emirate said on Friday that direct flights UAE from Fujairah to Cairo, the capital of Egypt, would be available for bookings beginning in July.
As part of the new cooperation between Egyptair, the state-owned flag carrier of Egypt, and the administration of Fujairah Airport, two flights will be operated between the two cities on Sundays and Thursdays each week. Fujairah Airport earlier said it would connect the emirate to 18 new destinations
The director-general of Fujairah International Airport, Captain Ismail Al Balushi, stated that this action was taken in response to the increasing demand for local and regional travel and to expand the travel options to and from the emirate.
“We are working to provide a comfortable travel experience [with] quick clearance procedures [to] enhance the travel experience to and from the emirate,” Al Balushi stated.
In July of last year, Fujairah Airport declared that, in partnership with SalamAir of Oman, it would link Fujairah to eighteen additional destinations.
