The United Arab Emirates’ national airline, Etihad Airways, has released its initial traffic figures for May 2024. With 1.5 million passengers flown, the airline’s monthly average passenger load factor was 84%.
We achieved a 38% year-to-date increase in passengers, underscoring our strong positive growth trajectory,” stated Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways. Our Year-to-date (YTD) passenger count has reached 7.2 million, meaning we’ve already welcomed two million more passengers this year than the same period of 2023.” This helped to sustain a robust year-to-date load factor of 85% despite a notable rise in capacity compared to the same period in 2023.
