The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Saw Rapid Expansion in the First Half of 2026

In the first half of 2026, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) Group advanced a more comprehensive, highly accessible, and globally connected investment platform for issuers and investors, further solidifying the fundamentals of Abu Dhabi’s capital markets. The ADX’s performance in the first half of 2026 is indicative of the ongoing development of Abu Dhabi’s market ecosystem, which is bolstered by measures to increase investor involvement across asset classes and regions, new product offerings, improved market connection, and infrastructure upgrades.

These advancements strengthen the ADX’s status as a reliable entry point for international capital and its support of Abu Dhabi’s long-term economic goal. The ADX started H1 2026 in a strong operational position during a time of increased geopolitical unpredictability in the area. This advancement was aided by significant improvements to the market infrastructure, such as the Core Platform Upgrade, the introduction of AD Clear and AD CSD as new subsidiaries, and the incorporation of hybrid cloud capabilities.

Resilience strategies, such as enhanced short-selling procedures, upgraded circuit breaker floors, and round-the-clock operational preparedness, maintained continuous market operation and settlement integrity. The ADX showed resilience in comparison to regional conditions, maintained orderly market operations, and remained stable under pressure. This performance is a reflection of the thoughtful infrastructure design of the ADX and the success of the strategies put in place to improve the market’s capacity to withstand volatility and bounce back quickly.

“The ADX’s focus remains on building a deeper, more liquid, and more internationally connected market that supports Abu Dhabi’s role as an open, leading, and preferred global economy,” stated Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) Group.
