Bahrain claimed and denounced further Iranian assaults in a statement released on Saturday. Only ten days have passed since the US and Iran signed a Memorandum of Understanding outlining an end to hostilities. Bahrain’s “strongest condemnation of the attack on its territory in the early hours of today, Saturday, 27 June 2026, involving a number of Iranian drones” was stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry denounced the incident as a “flagrant violation of Bahrain’s sovereignty, a blatant threat to the safety of its citizens and residents, and a clear breach of international norms and conventions that prohibit attacks on civilian objects and the terrorising of civilians”.
Bahrain’s capital, Manama, was hit by debris from interceptions on June 11, the last time Iran targeted its territory. An 11-year-old girl was also hurt by the debris. Iran continues to use drones and missiles to launch illegal assaults against citizens in the Kingdom of Bahrain, according to the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force.
