On Saturday, a number of du subscribers complained about issues with their home Internet connection. About an hour after the outage peaked, the telecom operator announced that the technical problem with its broadband/Internet services in certain locations had been “resolved.
At 12:17 p.m., the web tracker Downdetector.ae had almost 7,600 outage reports. However, roughly 20 minutes later, this number began to decline. Only approximately 1,380 outage complaints were remaining at 1:19 PM.
Damac Hills 2 resident Kevin Bautista said that all of their home streaming services, including YouTube and Netflix, abruptly stopped working around midday. “I then discovered that the issue was with our Internet. “It hasn’t been functioning for more than forty minutes,” he stated.
Their team is working on restoring the service back to normal as soon as possible,” Du wrote in a post on X, confirming the malfunction. Then, around an hour after the bug was discovered, Du declared on their official social media account that it had been fixed.
