Due to Safety Infractions, Police in Dubai’s Naif Neighbourhood seize 3,779 E-Scooters and Bicycles

3,779 e-scooters and e-bikes were seized by Dubai’s Naif police station for a variety of infractions, including operating them in undesignated places. 2,286 bicycles, 771 electric bicycles, and 722 e-scooters were among the vehicles seized. Driving on public roads, they posed a serious risk and confused other drivers.

In order to avoid road casualties and undesirable behaviour, expert brigadier Omar Musa Ashour, acting director of the Naif Police Station, reaffirmed Dubai Police’s dedication to educating the public and fostering a culture of traffic safety.

Brigadier Ashour emphasised that using bicycles, scooters, and electric scooters on public roads or in non-designated places presents a serious risk to users and other road users. Due to the possibility of confusion among drivers, Dubai Police prioritises the safety of these users and other drivers by conducting frequent awareness programs. These activities complement the road safety policy implemented by the Dubai Police.

This comprised 771 electric bicycles, 722 scooters, and 2,286 bicycles. He restated that utilising these cars in undesignated areas or on public roads poses a serious risk and confuses other drivers.
