The Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) introduced a global audience to the UAE’s illustrious publishing history as part of its participation in Sharjah’s Guest of Honour Programme at the 39th Thessaloniki International Book Fair in Greece.
Under the visionary leadership of the association’s founder and honorary president, Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the association is promoting the Emirati and Arab publishing sector and fostering the Emirati-global cultural dialogue. These efforts will be showcased during the fair, which takes place from May 16 to May 19.
The association has prepared a thorough schedule for its involvement in the event’s Sharjah Guest of Honour pavilion. Its goals are to represent Emirati publishers, highlight their works, and encourage cooperation with Greek and foreign publishers that are there for the fair. Representing the association at the fair is a delegation including Abdullah Al Kaabi, President of the EPA Board and co-founder of Dar Al Ramsa, along with Amira BinKadra, Vice President of the EPA Board and co-founder of Ghaf Publishing House, as well as Fatima Al Khatib, member of the EPA Board and founder of Sidra Publishing House, and Khalid Al-Ali, founder of Bawabat Al Kitab Publishing.
