The UAE reiterated its backing for the Quad’s initiatives to secure an immediate and unconditional ceasefire and to promote a thorough, civilian-led democratic process in Sudan.
Reiterating its support for efforts to alleviate humanitarian suffering and safeguard civilians, it also praised ongoing regional and international actions, such as the Berlin Conference’s conclusions and appeals to stop the violence.
The UAE also applauded the Quintet’s efforts to promote an all-encompassing political process and the meetings that took place in Addis Ababa from June 3–5 in order to further the formation of the preparatory committee for an all-encompassing Sudanese–Sudanese dialogue.
The Emirates emphasized the importance of prioritizing political solutions and endorsing an autonomous, civilian-led transition that reflects the hopes of the Sudanese people for peace, stability, and a respectable future.
