The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai intends to begin operating four new metro link bus routes on August 30, 2024, and to improve the offerings of multiple other routes, including one intercity route.
By making these changes, travellers should have a better everyday commute and easily travel across the Emirate. The two new routes, F39 and F40, will replace Route 31 among the four new routes. With a 30-minute frequency, the first new route, F39, will travel from Etisalat Bus Station to Oud Al Muteena Roundabout Bus Stop 1 and back. The second new route, F40, will run from Etisalat Bus Station to Mirdif, Street 78, and back.
Due to the cancellation of the sector from Al Ghubaiba Station to Oud Metha, Route 6 will now only travel from the Bus Stop at Oud Metha Metro Station to Dubai Healthcare City. Bus 95A’s route will be rerouted to begin at Veneto, Jebel Ali Waterfront and travel through the Jebel Ali Industrial Area before ending at Parco Hypermarket. JAFZA One will be covered by Route 99, and The Greens will see new stops added to Route F31. Route F45 will also see new stops added in Al Furjan, and Route F54 will see the removal of the JAFZA One stop. Furthermore, intercity Route E700 to Fujairah will now originate from Etisalat Bus Station rather than Union Bus Station.
