The Honourable Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah, Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, praised the completion of the Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language, calling it an important accomplishment for the Arab and Islamic communities.
Sheikh Sultan emphasised the value of language in maintaining a country’s knowledge, history, and culture.
Sheikh Sultan acknowledged the seven years of intense work put forth by all those involved in this important initiative and praised their unwavering commitment to assisting scholars, researchers, and future generations.
According to Sheikh Sultan, the Comprehensive Arabic Encyclopaedia project, a series of large books intended to include all Arabic terminology across all domains of knowledge, has officially begun. The Encyclopaedia is a universally accessible, all-inclusive resource for the Arabic language.
Sheikh Sultan congratulated the Arab world on this noteworthy achievement and emphasised the significance and objectives of the Historic Arabic Language Dictionary.
His Highness stressed that the dictionary’s work will continue, concentrating on the language’s foundation in order to eventually realise its full potential. “All sciences and knowledge are contained in the Arabic language, and this historical dictionary acts as a container for it,” he declared.
