Continuing a 30-year partnership that has resulted in 82 US patents and countless medical breakthroughs for children and their families, the UAE government has increased its transformational commitment to Children’s National Hospital with a new $35 million donation aimed at prenatal, neonatal, and maternal health.
The new present was announced following President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s recent visit to Children’s National Hospital, where he met with Emirati families and patients.
The investment marks the newest phase in the UAE’s long-standing philanthropic connection with Children’s National. Every year, more than 100 Emirati families visit Children’s National for sophisticated paediatric care and life-saving procedures.
Children in the Washington, D.C., area and around the world benefit enormously from the extraordinary decades-long collaboration between the UAE and Children’s National,” said Michelle Riley-Brown, M.H.A., FACHE, President and CEO of Children’s National. “I am really grateful for the UAE’s most recent donation. The contribution will benefit children and families, as well as the teams of researchers and professionals who work tirelessly to produce breakthrough medical treatment.
