The Tan-Tan Cultural Festival, which will be held in the southern part of the Kingdom of Morocco from June 26 to 30, will be attended by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority in association with several institutions dedicated to heritage preservation.
The theme of this year’s event, which is being held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco, is “20 Years of Conservation and Human Development.
Abdulla Mubarak Al Muhairi, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, said the participation in the Tan-Tan Cultural Moussem, which began in 2014, aims to highlight the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s efforts to preserve intangible cultural heritage and shed light on the rich and diverse Emirati heritage.
He emphasized the significance of participating in such events to introduce the Emirati heritage and customs, promote them in international forums, and highlight their many components.
Al Muhairi also emphasized that this involvement aims to foster harmony between the shared cultural heritage and the values, customs, and traditions that bind the two friendly countries together. Such participation is evidence of the close and developing ties between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates.
