Officials in Oregon, USA, have stated that a female teacher assaulted a young gunman who had entered her classroom and was attempting to seize the weapon. The unidentified educator from Bend’s Silver Rail Elementary School flung her cell phone on the floor and attempted to disarm the 16-year-old student.
Thursday, an assailant shot his way into the building, killing three youngsters and a teacher. A father of two girls at the school was driving past when the attack began to unfold and, armed with a pistol, went in to confront the suspect, ultimately shooting him dead.
The man was apprehended by the authorities when he was allegedly carrying a further forty-four rounds of shotgun ammo. He fired 15 rounds during the class.According to Bend Police Chief Mike Krantz, “We owe you a debt of gratitude” to those who bravely intervened to stop the violence from getting worse.
Two of the four school shooting victims were identified by police during a news conference on Friday. They were Rhoam Summer, a 5-year-old, and Meghan Lambert, a 25-year-old teacher. Police released a statement from Lambert’s family praising her as “compassionate and had a huge heart” and adding that she aspired to teach in her hometown.
