Emirati Women’s Day, observed annually on August 28, honours women’s strength, accomplishments in business, science, the arts, and many other fields, and crucial role in determining the direction of the UAE.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, Younis Haji Al Khoori, emphasised that Emirati Women’s Day is a chance to commemorate a journey that has yielded many noteworthy accomplishments and in which women play a critical role in the workforce, innovation, and long-term planning.
Al Khoori stated: “Our wise leadership and Her Highness’s impactful initiatives support Emirati women’s limitless ambition and determination to succeed in all fields.” Mother of the Nation Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak is also the Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union. Through these initiatives, women’s critical role in sustainable development has been established, and the UAE’s efforts to empower and support women have become a model that reflects the country’s esteemed reputation and leading position on the global stage. At the Ministry of Finance, we are immensely proud of the achievements of Emirati women. They are not merely participants in our development and success but driving forces shaping future generations.
