His Majesty The UAE’s vice president, prime minister, and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, confirmed on Sunday that Gitex has evolved into a collection of technology and startup-focused events, pointing out that technology is expanding quickly and Dubai is keeping up with it.
“The UAE is hosting Gitex Global, one of the largest technology exhibitions in the world, this week,” Sheikh Mohammed wrote in a tweet on the X platform. Gitex has evolved into a collection of technology-related exhibitions focusing on start-ups, artificial intelligence, smart mobility, cyber-security, etc. It involves more than 180 countries and more than 180,000 specialists. Technology is advancing quickly, and Dubai is keeping up with this growth since we have been here Technological leaps in the world. Today, Dubai is hosting the world to contribute with it to leading these changes,” he added.
However, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and the Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, paid a visit to the Expand North Star 2024 exhibition today, which is the biggest super connector event for investors and startups worldwide. The event, organised by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre, is taking place at Dubai Harbour from October 13 to 16.
