Despite Iran’s warning not to carry out any assaults in the country, Israel has carried out strikes throughout southern Lebanon. Eight people were killed in Tyre, according to the Lebanese health ministry, after the Israeli military for the first time ordered citizens to evacuate the southern city, including its Christian neighborhood.
After an Israeli strike on Beirut that targeted the Iranian-backed armed group Hezbollah resulted in their first firefight since a truce in April, Israel and Iran suspended hostilities on Monday.
Iran threatened to strike Israel once more if the attacks in Lebanon did not cease. However, Israel promised to keep up its fight against Hezbollah. President Donald Trump’s attempts to reach an agreement to stop the war between the United States, Israel, and Iran are being hampered by the conflict.
According to Lebanese media, at least 13 persons were murdered on Tuesday by Israeli artillery and air strikes throughout southern Lebanon.The state-run National News Agency (NNA) reports that two individuals were killed in a predawn drone attack in Kfar Roummane, which is close to the important town of Nabatieh.
