Ten People were Killed in the Russian Attack on a Drone Exhibition Near Kyiv

At least 15 people have been murdered in Russian attacks on Ukraine, with 10 killed by ballistic missile strikes on a drone technology demonstration near Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on social media that over 100 people were hurt in the afternoon attack on the show, which was attended by key members of the defense sector.

Elsewhere, Russian glide bombs killed five people in the eastern city of Sloviansk. On Friday evening, Zelensky stated that he had acquired data that Russia was preparing another large missile strike, which “could happen today” or “within the next 48 hours”.

Meanwhile, a nighttime Ukrainian strike killed six people and injured 26 in the Russian city of Kirov, more than 1,000 kilometers (600 miles) from the battle lines. Ukraine also targeted warehouses of Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer.

Following the strikes in Kyiv, there were immediate concerns about the safety of Defence Ministry adviser Serhiy Beskrestnov, commonly known as Flash, and Lyuba Shypovych, who was involved in developing technologies for the Ukrainian army. Following the incident, both took to social media to affirm their safety, with Beskrestnov stating he had remained away from the event due to security concerns.
