As the Iran War Intensifies, Ukraine Attacks Russian Cargo Headed for Iran

With its involvement into the conflict through long-range strikes on sites that Kyiv claims are connected to the transfer of Russian military equipment to Iran, Ukraine has joined the growing battlefield in the war involving Iran. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has asserted that Russia has assisted Tehran in attacking US military installations in the Middle East by giving Iran satellite data.

The conflict between Iran and the United States has taken on new dimensions as a result of these developments, which have also linked the conflict between Tehran and Washington to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. This has brought Moscow’s backing for Iran back into the public eye. The president of Ukraine claimed in a post on X that Russian satellites have been actively observing the Gulf states and US military installations in the area since the beginning of July and have been providing Iran with the photos they have taken.

He claims that there is a “clear correlation” between Iranian assaults and Russian satellite imagery of these locations, including both pre-attack photos acquired during Iran’s preparations and post-attack photos collected to evaluate the damage.
