Speaking on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Trump proposed that lowering overall gas prices might also be achieved by maintaining local supply within the US.That’s what I’ve also demanded. Officials were evaluating “whether a full or partial ban would work” without interfering with refinery operations, according to US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. According to figures from the American Automobile Association, national average diesel prices reached a new high of $6.50 (£4.87) per gallon on Tuesday. Pump prices are under pressure since the Middle East conflict has limited the world’s oil supply. Ahead of the pivotal midterm elections on November 3rd, the rise in diesel prices has created political urgency. A number of Republicans are pressuring the government to limit the fuel’s export in order to relieve voters’ financial burden.
