Emirates will take Delivery of its First A350 in October

Emirates is scheduled to take delivery of its first Airbus A350 in October. By the end of the year, the airline expects to have five Airbus aircraft delivered.

The airline will receive five Airbus planes by the end of December this year, while no Boeing aircraft have been received thus far, according to Adel Alredha, Deputy President and Chief Operations Officer of Emirates Airline, who made this announcement on the fringes of the inaugural Dubai AI and Web3 Festival. We had to extend the service of some of our current aircraft due to delays in aircraft deliveries,” he continued.

Alredha also brought up the company’s aircraft modernisation program and Emirates’ dedication to offering the greatest customer experience. She said that the program covers 190 aircraft, with a plan that costs more than $3 billion covering an increase in the number of aircraft targeted for modernisation.

Alredha clarified that the delivery issues have been there for years because the COVID-19 pandemic forced many aircraft manufacturing companies to reduce production or lay off a portion of their workforce. Consequently, he went on, these companies were unable to effectively reorganise their operations and meet the high demand for air travel that followed the end of the pandemic.
