Emirates has doubled the number of cities it serves outside of its network over the last year, opening up travel options to almost 1,700 new locations. This has enabled more than 61,000 passengers, on an average weekly basis, to connect easily on the shared networks of Emirates and its partners.
Together with 31 codeshare, 118 interline, 13 rail, and helicopter service partners, the airline is providing a variety of extra travel options by establishing new relationships and strengthening those it already has throughout the transportation ecosystem. With 162 partners spread across more than 100 countries, we can offer our customers a wider range of connections, more and better single-ticket itineraries, improved baggage transfers, frequent flyer benefits, lounge access, and other perks that guarantee a seamless travel experience at every stop.
Customers of partner airlines that fly with Emirates can now travel to popular destinations even more easily thanks to the airline’s extensive network of over 140 destinations, frictionless connectivity at DXB, and easily accessible industry-leading on-and-off-air and on-ground experiences.
Emirates announced sixteen new alliances in the past year, including codeshare agreements with Avianca and Batik Air Malaysia. The airline also implemented interline agreements with KAM Air, Sri Lankan Airlines, Condor, Flynas, Viva Aerobus, Sun Express, Maldivian, Siberia Airlines, and Kenya Airways.
