Mother and family counsellor Baraa Murad expressed her gratitude to Sharjah authorities for launching the first-ever Holy Quran TV channel in the United Arab Emirates. Her kids can now learn the holy book more effectively. I require my children to listen to the Holy Quran for a certain period before watching their favourite programmes,” Baraa told the Khaleej Times.
When I introduced them to Sharjah’s Quran TV channel, I noticed their attention was captured without distraction, thanks to the serene background, which helped them focus on the recitation,” said the resident, who has tuned into the channel since it was launched on Friday, August 16. The broadcast can be accessed through Channel 579 on the Etisalat E-life device and the Marasi app.
Baraa expressed her gratitude to Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, for initiating this initiative and to all those involved. Baraa has made it a habit to include Quranic programs in her daily routine, which has improved her memorisation of the verses.
The new channel, which is accessible around-the-clock, provides viewers with a wide variety of programming, such as the Holy Quran being recited, an explanation of Quranic sciences, and Quranic lessons.
Sharjah native Fahd Saeed called the channel “a cornerstone” for material that upholds Islamic principles because its programs encourage consistent Quran reading and provide in-depth commentary on the passages.
