We started the interview by asking, “What inspired you to take on a global approach in your career?”
Dina El Dalil shared, “A global approach offers broad exposure and valuable perspective. I believe business is a universal language, and the strongest synergies arise from diversity – a value I have always embraced and one that leads to inclusion and collaboration across markets. It allows me to pursue my passion for managing cross-border, mutually beneficial business relationships. Working across different markets also builds deep expertise that increases exponentially with every new transaction.”

Dina El Dalil mentioned, “Creating ‘win-win’ situations has always been a guiding principle in my work, paving the way to successful outcomes. My focus has been consistently based on achieving sustainable development results with measurable, lasting impact across economic, social, and environmental dimensions – while aligning with national goals. This requires open communication and coordination among partners to maximize collective impact. Another key principle is adaptability: remaining responsive to shifting global and local contexts to ensure partnerships evolve with emerging challenges and opportunities.”
Project With A Lasting Impact
Throughout her career, Dina has carried out several successful projects. So, we posed the question, “Out of the many initiatives you’ve been part of, which project or achievement do you find most meaningful, and why?”
“One of the most meaningful projects I have been part of was a national initiative aimed at developing the industrial sector. During my time there, I witnessed the production of ‘Made in Egypt’ goods for the first time and the reopening of factories that had long been inactive – made possible by overcoming significant challenges. Most importantly, we focused on empowering youth as the key drivers of industrialization. This included the advancement of technical education and vocational training to ensure their inclusion in shaping sustainable economic growth.” She added.

Given Dina’s background in strategic planning and international relations, we asked her to share her vision regarding AI in transforming the business landscape, especially in banking and corporate development.
“There is no doubt that AI is reshaping the business landscape, and a company’s success – and perhaps its survival – depends on its ability to keep up with the pace. AI enhances decision-making through data-driven insights. Advanced predictive analytics help companies and financial institutions identify trends, optimize processes, and anticipate customer needs, leading to better strategic planning. AI-driven automation is streamlining processes and workflows by reducing repetitive tasks and improving overall efficiency.
Businesses can automate customer service, supply chains, and internal workflows, allowing human employees to focus on higher-value activities – for example, AI-powered chatbots can handle customer queries 24/7. AI also strengthens risk management by detecting patterns that humans might miss, enabling businesses to identify fraud, mitigate cybersecurity threats, and manage financial risks more effectively.” Dina explained.
She even mentioned, “AI is particularly transforming the banking sector and financial services by improving efficiency, enhancing the customer experience, and mitigating risks. It enables banks to offer personalized financial services based on customer behavior, preferences, and financial goals. AI also bolsters security by detecting anomalous patterns and flagging potential fraud in real time.
Predictive analytics can help assess a borrower’s credit risk more accurately, while automated loan approvals reduce processing time and improve satisfaction. Routine tasks such as document processing, compliance checks, and reporting can now be handled more accurately and cost-effectively with AI-powered systems. In short, AI will continue to reshape banking by enabling personalized financial services, fully automated systems, and real-time, intelligent risk management.”

“In my view, the most critical quality is a combination of proactivity and adaptability. With rapid technological advancements, drastic geopolitical shifts, climate change, and evolving customer expectations, businesses must be able to pivot strategies quickly and effectively. Staying ahead is essential for navigating uncertainty and building resilient strategies in times of crisis, proactively assessing risks and opportunities, and using data-driven analysis to guide strategic decisions before any corporate transaction. It’s this forward-looking approach that serves as the most effective safeguard in a constantly changing landscape.” Dina shared.
