The largest aircraft purchase in Saudi Arabian history, the Saudia Group will purchase 105 Airbus aircraft, the company announced on Monday.
According to a statement, flyadeal, a low-cost airline, will purchase 12 A320neo and 39 A321neo aircraft, while Saudia airline will receive 54 A321neo aircraft.

A different statement from the Future Aviation Forum, the conference in the Saudi capital of Riyadh where the deal was announced, states that the deal is valued at $19 billion.

“This historic agreement includes 105 confirmed aircraft and represents a momentous occasion for the MENA region as a whole, as well as the Saudi aviation industry,” the Saudi statement read.

More than a year after the launch of new airline Riyadh Air, Saudi Airlines has made another investment with this purchase, dubbed “the largest aircraft deal in Saudi aviation history.”

According to Saleh Eid, Saudia’s vice president of fleet management and agreements, deliveries will begin in 2026 and run through 2032. Based in Jeddah Saudia, formerly Saudi Arabian Airlines, was founded in 1945 and got its first aircraft as a gift from US President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
