His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Monday. Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, was also present. Malaysia’s Prime Minister is leading an official mission to the UAE.
His Highness welcomed the Malaysian Prime Minister and his delegation to Za’abeel Palace in Dubai, emphasising the UAE’s deep historical links with Malaysia. He also emphasised the UAE’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations to benefit both countries and their peoples.
During the meeting, His Highness praised the tremendous progress made in bilateral collaboration as well as the common goal of extending these ties even further. He emphasised the need to exchange expertise and utilise successful development experiences while pushing the private sector to pursue new opportunities, particularly in investment, trade, tourism, and travel, capitalising on both countries’ unique assets.
Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s Second Deputy Ruler and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, and Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group, both attended the meeting.
