Younis Haji AlKhoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, met with the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Article IV consultation team at the ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting was attended by Ali Abdullah Sharafi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for International Financial Relations at the Ministry of Finance, and Thuraiya Hamid Alhashmi, Director of International Financial Relations and Organisations at the Ministry of Finance, as well as several officials and specialists from both sides.
During the discussion, held as part of the IMF’s annual Article IV consultations, the two sides addressed the UAE’s economic and financial trends and policies. The panel also discussed actions implemented in the UAE to enhance its financial and economic frameworks. AlKhoori welcomed the delegation and praised its role in evaluating member nations’ financial and economic performance.
“The Ministry of Finance values its partnership with the IMF and the consultations carried out by its experts. These conversations provide a crucial platform for sharing views on fiscal and monetary policy priorities, enabling us to promote development goals and ensure long-term economic stability in accordance with widely accepted best practices,” AlKhoori added.
