Non-oil trade between the UAE and Hungary continues to strengthen, reaching $793.7 million in 2024 and $434.2 million in the first half of 2025—a year-on-year increase of 29.4%.
During an official visit to Hungary, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, held a series of high-level discussions with Hungarian government officials and business leaders to explore new opportunities in trade, investment, and private sector cooperation.
Dr. Al Zeyoudi met with Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, and Gergely Karácsony, Mayor of Budapest, where talks focused on expanding bilateral trade relations and boosting partnerships that can drive economic growth in both nations.
“The UAE and Hungary share a common vision for sustainable development and innovation, which opens the door for greater collaboration. Our trade ties have already grown significantly in recent years, and we are determined to build on this momentum,” Al Zeyoudi said.
The partnership has been reinforced by the UAE-Hungary Economic Cooperation Agreement, the creation of a joint committee, and multiple MoUs covering areas such as agriculture, space, infrastructure, logistics, and real estate.
