John F. Kennedy Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport are among the airports in possible impact regions that have posted on X alerting travellers to possible delays or cancellations.
Among the carriers, JetBlue Airways has canceled the most flights (225), followed by Delta Air Lines (186), Republic Airways (155), American Airlines (96), and United Airlines (82).
Reuters was informed by an American Airlines representative that the airline had “issued a travel alert allowing those whose plans may be affected to rebook without change fees.” Reuters’ inquiries for comment from JetBlue, Delta Air Lines, Republic, and United Airlines were not immediately answered.
