A five-day workshop entitled “The System for Tracking, Implementation, Reporting, and Follow-up, and Mechanisms for Developing National Action Plans to Implement Recommendations Issued by International Human Rights Mechanisms” was organized by the UAE Permanent Human Rights Committee (PHRC) in cooperation with the Regional Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
Aisha Al Mansoori, the Deputy Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Human Rights Department, spoke on behalf of the PHCR secretariat during the session’s opening comments.
Al Mansoori emphasized in her remarks that the collaborative workshop demonstrates the UAE’s dedication to promoting collaboration with the Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights by exchanging human rights knowledge, experience, and best practices, which enhances the PHRC’s capabilities. The Committee is committed to monitoring the UAE’s adherence to international recommendations by various UN bodies, processes, and human rights committees.
Al Mansoori further emphasized that the United Arab Emirates will continue to work with regional and international partners to share best practices and knowledge while proudly advancing and defending human rights at the national level.
