The number of visitors to Ajman has increased significantly, indicating the city’s increasing allure and notoriety among both domestic and foreign tourists. October 2023 saw a noteworthy 5% increase in tourism activity and a staggering 11% increase in visitors. The remarkable 5% increase in Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR) that resulted from this spike in occupancy rates helped to drive an overall 11% year-over-year (YOY) growth in Total Revenue.
The percentage of foreign visitors to Ajman has increased significantly from 2022 to 2023, accounting for 29% of all arrivals. This increase highlights Ajman’s growing prominence in the world travel map, which is attributed to various source markets.
In the first quarter of 2024, the upward trend is still present. A strong financial start to the year is demonstrated by the 7% increase in total revenues between Q1 2024 and the same period in 2023. A 3% increase in occupancy rates, which suggests a growing demand for lodging, lends additional support to this growth. Furthermore, the overall number of visitors has increased by a noteworthy 9%, indicating sustained interest in Ajman as a travel destination of choice. Furthermore, there has been a positive trend of visitors staying longer in the city, as evidenced by the 5% increase in the average Length of Stay.
