In keeping with the goals of the UAE government’s more extensive “Zero Government Bureaucracy” program, the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) has begun its “Zero Bureaucracy” initiative in the financial sector.
The initiative seeks to significantly advance government procedures by streamlining people’s lives and removing needless time, effort, and resource constraints on businesses and individuals.
The CBUAE and the Prime Minister’s Office arranged a workshop to discuss the procedures for carrying out the Zero Government Bureaucracy initiative. The program’s objectives are to eliminate at least 2,000 government procedures, reduce procedure times by at least 50%, and eliminate any pointless requirements and processes.
Participants in the workshop discussed a number of projects and strategies meant to eliminate bureaucracy by streamlining and reducing processes, accelerating service provision, and creating new, innovative patterns for government operations. These programs and practices aim to improve operational effectiveness and the caliber of services offered to partners and clients in the financial industry.
In keeping with the organization’s mission and core values, the CBUAE Youth Council and Happiness Committee are also actively promoting communication between staff members and departments so that they can submit workable ideas and proposals to the internal committee in charge of the Zero Government Bureaucracy program.
