Indian Prime Minister Modi is Praised by Christians for Celebrating Christmas with Them

For the first time, a prime minister attended a Catholic Church event. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Christmas celebrations hosted by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI) at its offices in the nation’s capital.

Numerous Christian religious leaders praised Modi’s involvement and called it a “moment of great honor” for them.

In an interview with IANS, Father Nirdosh Ekka, a member of the Society of Jesus, expressed gratitude to the prime minister for the unique gesture and expressed their eagerness to join the nation’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.

We are really grateful that PM Modi joined us. He was as happy and joyful as we were. He was kind to us. Every person of the nation ought to get justice and be treated fairly. “Jesus Christ also preached this,” he remarked.

The prime minister is leading the nation toward progress, and we will help along the way, according to Father Nirdosh, who is also the secretary of tribal issues for the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI). But occasionally, certain people stop us from contributing in this way. The largest contribution to education comes from our community. Despite being barely 2%, we have the best educational institutions.
