On Sunday, October 20, 2024, the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) at Expo City Dubai will hold a second aid collection drive as part of the nationwide relief initiative “UAE Stands with Lebanon.”
The campaign was ordered by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the vice president, deputy prime minister, and chairman of the presidential court. The public’s reaction to it has been enormous thus far.
H.H. Sheikh Theyab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chair of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council and Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, is in charge of overseeing the campaign’s execution. The effort to gather monetary and in-kind contributions is carried out in cooperation with various humanitarian institutions and charitable associations in the country.
Food parcels and shelter supplies will be collected and packed on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 9:00 to 13:00 at Expo Centre Sharjah, and on Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 9:00 to 13:00 at DEC, Expo City Dubai, as the campaign for the people of Lebanon enters its second week.
Donors can also submit their in-kind contributions to any of the Emirates Red Crescent’s (ERC) UAE offices, the ERC warehouses in Dubai, or the ERC warehouses in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi.
