She was making her debut in the modeling industry in 2004 when she was sixteen years old and living in rural Brazil. She claims that in order to convince her mother to allow her to compete in a modelling competition in Ecuador, French modelling agent Jean-Luc Brunel paid her a visit. After being charged with rape, sexual assault, and recruiting females for the late US millionaire and sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein, he committed suicide while incarcerated.
They had been introduced to Brunel by a well-known Brazilian scout, but they had no idea who he was at the time.
According to information uncovered by a BBC News Brasil investigation, Brunel aggressively sought out young ladies and girls from South America for Epstein and arranged for their permits to enter the US through modelling companies connected to him at the time.
Another Brazilian woman, who believes she had a relationship with Epstein, handed her US visa to the BBC. Despite her claims that she never worked as a model for Brunel and that the travel documents were just set up to allow her to see Epstein, it listed one of Brunel’s agencies as her sponsor.
