In the most recent Big Ticket Abu Dhabi raffle draw, which took place on Saturday, an Indian expat won Dh15 million.
Abu Dhabi resident Tushar Deshkar, who bought ticket number 334240 on July 31, struck it lucky. When his name was called during the show, he wasn’t at home watching the draw live.
Four people will split the unexpected Dh15 million windfall, he said. I have three more friends with whom I will share this. I’ve been purchasing tickets for the past year or so. I didn’t think I would take home the top honour.
When asked how he planned to use his winnings, Tushar replied, “I’ll take care of my family and pay back a few of my loans.
Big Ticket is again giving away a Dh15 million grand prize this month. Those who purchase cash prize tickets will also be eligible to participate in an electronic drawing the day following their purchase, with the winner receiving Dh50,000. In addition, ten participants will win Dh100,000 each during the September 3 live draw, including a Dh325,000 Range Rover Velar. One Dream Car ticket costs Dh150, and just like the cash prize, two tickets are given away for free to anyone who buys two.
