During a phone conversation on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump and President Sheikh Mohamed talked about the continued efforts to maintain regional stability through a ceasefire in Gaza. According to Palestinian health officials, on March 18, Israel conducted airstrikes on Gaza after a precarious two-month ceasefire, killing nearly 400 people in one of the highest single-day kills since the war began.
To help the people of Gaza, the president of the United Arab Emirates emphasised the need for viral humanitarian relief. Additionally, he restated the UAE’s backing for the two-state solution as the cornerstone of enduring regional peace. In contrast to Trump’s ‘Riviera of the Middle East’ concept, Arab leaders recently approved a $53 billion reconstruction plan for Gaza that would prevent the displacement of its 2.4 million residents.
The Arab idea received support from governments all over the world, including Muslim and European nations, when the US President’s plan to relocate Palestinians to surrounding countries was widely condemned. The two leaders spoke over the phone on Tuesday about the results of Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the National Security Advisor and Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, who recently visited the United States.
