His Excellency Asaad Al-Shaibani, the Syrian Arab Republic’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, was received today by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Al-Shaibani greeted Sheikh Mohamed at the beginning of the meeting and expressed Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa’s best wishes for the UAE’s ongoing development and prosperity. Sheikh Mohamed requested that the minister send Al-Sharaa his regards and best wishes for Syria’s and its people’s future growth.
Sheikh Mohamed and Al-Shaibani reviewed cooperation in several areas, particularly development and the economy, and discussed the familial relations between the two nations. Additionally, they looked at methods to improve bilateral collaboration, promote common development goals, and promote the prosperity and well-being of both countries. The most recent events in the Middle East and other regional matters of shared concern were also discussed at the conference.
Following the reestablishment of diplomatic relations, the UAE and Syria have increased their level of collaboration. While supporting initiatives to advance regional peace and sustainable development, the UAE has increased its cooperation with Syria in recent years in areas such as humanitarian aid, economic development, and reconstruction help.
