Russian attacks on Ukraine have resulted in at least 15 deaths, including 10 fatalities from ballistic missile strikes on a drone technology demonstration close to Kyiv. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the midday attack on the show, which was attended by well-known figures in the defense industry, resulted in almost 100 injuries.
In the eastern city of Sloviansk, Russian glide bombs also killed five people. Two men were confirmed dead in the northern city of Sumy early on Saturday, according to military officials. Zelensky stated on Friday night that he had learned that Russia was getting ready to launch another large-scale missile attack “within the next 48 hours”.
In the Russian city of Kirov, more than 1,000 kilometers (600 miles) behind the front line, a Ukrainian strike on Friday resulted in six fatalities and 26 injuries. Additionally, Ukraine raided Russia’s largest online store, Wildberries.
Following the assaults close to Kyiv, there were immediate concerns about the safety of Lyuba Shypovych, who has worked on building technologies for the Ukrainian army, and Serhiy Beskrestnov, also known as Flash, an adviser to the Defence Ministry.Both used social media to indicate they were unharmed after the incident, and Beskrestnov claimed he had avoided the event due to security concerns.
