Top 10 Global Leaders Creating Lasting Impact

There’s a difference between being in charge and actually leading, and most people can tell within minutes which one they’re dealing with. The leaders on this list fall firmly into the second category. They didn’t just occupy positions of influence; they used them to build something that held up long after the initial buzz wore off. A policy that actually worked years later. A company culture that outlived its founder’s tenure. A community program that kept running long after the cameras left. That’s what we’re after here, not the flashiest names, but the ones whose fingerprints are still visible on the world today. This roundup of the top 10 global leaders looks past the headlines to the work that actually held up.

Inside the List of Top Leaders Making a Mark

This list brings together the top 10 global leaders from different corners of the world, working across sectors as varied as their approaches. A quick look at what they’ve built and why it’s still standing.

Merissa Boey | Building a Smarter Way to Discover Technology & Software Solutions

Merissa Boey

“Software and technology solutions should be accessible, transparent, and easy to navigate for businesses of every size.”

That belief sits at the heart of everything Merissa Boey is building.

As the Founder and CEO of SICONICA, Merissa is working towards making software and technology solutions easier to discover for businesses, professionals, developers, students, creators, and technology enthusiasts. In a world where software platforms, AI solutions, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity products continue to grow at a rapid pace, she saw the need for a place where people could discover, compare, and connect with the right solutions more easily.

For Merissa, the idea behind SICONICA came from observing how complex the software and technology landscape had become. As more businesses embraced digital transformation, identifying the right software and technology solutions became increasingly challenging. SICONICA was created to bridge that gap by bringing technology providers and users together on one global platform.

More than a technology discovery platform, SICONICA is designed to connect software companies, technology innovators, business leaders, and digital transformation experts. Through executive interviews, industry insights, product showcases, technology news, and global event coverage, the platform aims to educate, inspire, and connect the worldwide technology community.

Merissa’s entrepreneurial journey has been centred on innovation, operational excellence, and business growth. Having led international teams and expanded operations across Australia and Asia, she has focused on building businesses while embracing emerging technologies that continue to change how organisations operate.

As SICONICA prepares for its global launch, the platform is expanding its presence across Australia and Asia, with plans to continue growing internationally. For Merissa, the vision extends beyond creating a place to discover software and technology. She wants to build a trusted destination where organisations can confidently explore solutions that support their future growth.

Throughout that journey, one principle has remained unchanged.

“Software and technology solutions should be accessible, transparent, and easy to navigate for businesses of every size.”

It is this belief that continues to guide Merissa Boey as she leads SICONICA and works towards helping innovative software and technology companies gain the global visibility they deserve.

Antonis Aristodemou | Making Cross-Border Business Simpler

Antonis Aristodemou

An FCCA-qualified international tax and financial reporting specialist, Antonis has spent more than a decade helping businesses, investors, and family offices navigate the practical challenges of operating across multiple jurisdictions. His experience covers international tax planning, financial reporting, corporate structuring, compliance, and business relocation, with a particular focus on Europe and the Middle East.

In June 2026, he established Willowserve Solutions Ltd as his full-time focus, creating a Cyprus-based advisory practice that supports clients expanding internationally or managing operations across borders. Through the firm, he works with entrepreneurs and organisations looking for practical guidance on tax, compliance, and corporate structures that align with their business goals.

Antonis has worked with clients across Greece, Cyprus, the Baltics including Lithuania and Estonia, and the United Arab Emirates. His work includes supporting businesses as they establish operations in new markets, manage international mobility, and navigate the tax and regulatory requirements that come with cross-border growth.

His expertise also extends to Golden Visa-related relocation and structuring matters in Greece and Cyprus, Cyprus IP Box regimes, non-domicile tax planning, transfer pricing, double taxation treaties, IFRS reporting, and the setup of legal entities and payroll structures for multinational teams.

What distinguishes Antonis’ approach is his focus on translating complex tax and regulatory requirements into practical solutions that clients can implement with confidence. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all advice, he works to develop frameworks that support businesses as they grow across different markets while remaining compliant with local requirements.

Fluent in both Greek and English, Antonis also contributes to the international tax community through industry events and thought leadership, sharing insights drawn from his experience working across multiple jurisdictions.

Today, through Willowserve Solutions, he continues to support businesses and investors navigating an increasingly international business environment, helping them build structures that are both practical and sustainable while simplifying the complexities of operating across borders.

Shairose Gulamani | Helping Leaders Turn Pressure into Their Greatest Strength

Shairose Gulamani

“Pressure doesn’t break leaders. It reveals them.”

For many people, pressure is something to avoid. For Shairose Gulamani, it is something to understand. After spending decades in leadership, education, entrepreneurship, governance, and executive coaching, she has come to believe that the real measure of leadership is not how much pressure a person can endure, but how they respond when it arrives.

That belief inspired her to establish PressurePoint: Channeling Pressure into Power Inc., where she works with executives, senior leaders, and organisations to strengthen leadership capacity. Rather than encouraging leaders to simply push through challenges, she helps them develop the clarity, emotional regulation, and decision-making skills needed to perform well when the stakes are high.

Shairose’s perspective has been shaped by more than professional experience. Her career has taken her through education, entrepreneurship, governance, and community leadership, giving her first-hand insight into the realities leaders face every day. Before launching PressurePoint, she co-founded and helped grow Vovito Cafés and Vovito Wholesale, experiences that deepened her understanding of business growth, responsibility, uncertainty, and the weight of making decisions that affect others.

Her understanding of resilience, however, began much earlier. Born in Uganda, Shairose and her family rebuilt their lives in Canada after being forced to leave their home country. Looking back, she sees that experience as one of the foundations of her approach to leadership, teaching her that uncertainty can also create resilience, adaptability, and the confidence to begin again.

Today, those experiences come together in the work she does with organisations and leadership teams. Drawing on neuroscience, leadership psychology, and practical executive experience, she supports leaders as they navigate change, strengthen decision-making, and build sustainable high performance without losing sight of their well-being. Her work is built around a simple idea: before leaders can respond effectively to external challenges, they must first understand what is happening internally.

Beyond coaching, Shairose continues to contribute through governance and community leadership. She serves as Vice President of the Bellevue College Foundation Board and Chair of its Governance Committee, has supported international initiatives including the Global Encounters Festival Dubai 2025, and has been recognised with the President’s Volunteer Service Award (Gold) for her commitment to volunteer service. She is also an ICF Associate Certified Coach and a contributing author to Infinite Impact and Voices Across Borders: Becoming Here.

For Shairose, leadership is not about avoiding pressure or eliminating uncertainty. It is about developing the capacity to lead with clarity, intention, and purpose when those moments inevitably arise. That philosophy continues to shape her work as she helps leaders discover that pressure does not have to define them. With the right mindset and the right tools, it can become one of their greatest strengths.

Suvrajit Ghosh | Three Decades of Building Businesses Across Borders

Suvrajit Ghosh

More than three decades in business have taken Suvrajit Ghosh across India, Uganda, Kenya, Dubai, and the Middle East. Different countries, different markets, and different challenges have shaped his career, but one thing has remained constant: his belief that lasting growth comes from strong execution, capable teams, and a willingness to adapt.

Today, Suvrajit serves as CEO and Group Head at Mount Meru Middle East. Before taking on his current role, he was CEO and Group Head at White Horse Commodities, adding to a leadership journey that has spanned sales, marketing, manufacturing, commercial operations, and business transformation across multiple international markets.

One of the most significant chapters of his career was with Bidco Uganda Limited, where he spent more than fifteen years progressing through several leadership positions before becoming General Manager and Unit Operations Head. During this time, the business strengthened its position across categories including oils, fats, soaps, and detergents, expanded its distribution network into West African markets, increased production capacity, and developed local employees into leadership roles.

His experience later took him to Capwell Industries in Kenya, where he led the Commercial and Research & Development functions, overseeing marketing, sales, product development, brand management, profitability, and team leadership. Each role added a different perspective, helping him understand not only how businesses grow but also how they respond to changing markets and customer needs.

Suvrajit’s professional journey began in sales with Marico Industries Limited and Cargill India Ltd. Those early years taught him the importance of understanding customers, building relationships, and staying connected to the market, lessons that have continued to influence his leadership style throughout his career.

Alongside his professional responsibilities, Suvrajit has continued to build his knowledge through management development programmes in sales, marketing, negotiation, consumer behaviour, brand management, media planning, and ERP in sales management. He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Jabalpur University.

Looking back, Suvrajit’s career has never been defined by a single role or organisation. Instead, it reflects years of working across industries and countries, leading businesses through growth, change, and expansion. His approach has remained consistent throughout: build strong teams, understand the market, make thoughtful decisions, and create businesses that are prepared for the future.

Augusta Mirchandani | Building Trust in the World of Executive Recruitment

Augusta Mirchandani

“The best career decisions don’t begin with a job description. They begin with understanding people.”

That belief has shaped the way Augusta Mirchandani has built her career and her business. As the Founder and CEO of AAA Global, she leads a recruitment firm specialising in quantitative finance and discretionary trading, helping hedge funds and financial institutions connect with professionals in one of the most competitive hiring markets.

For Augusta, recruitment has never been simply about filling vacancies. Long before launching AAA Global, she spent much of her early life adapting to new places and unfamiliar environments. Those experiences taught her the value of understanding people, recognising where they thrive, and appreciating that the right opportunity is about more than matching a résumé to a role.

That perspective became the foundation of AAA Global. Rather than measuring success by how quickly a position is filled, Augusta believes the best outcomes come from taking the time to understand both clients and candidates. In markets where many of the strongest professionals are not actively looking for a new role, she believes trust, relationships, and patience make all the difference.

The same philosophy shapes the way her team works. Each consultant at AAA Global focuses on a single market, allowing them to develop specialist knowledge and build lasting relationships within their area of expertise. Augusta has also fostered a culture that values collaboration, continuous learning, and maintaining high standards, creating an environment where the team grows together while delivering consistent results.

Over the years, this approach has helped AAA Global become a trusted recruitment partner for leading hedge funds and financial institutions around the world. Rather than relying on volume, the firm’s reputation has been built through consistency, reliability, and long-term relationships.

For Augusta, building a successful company has always gone hand in hand with building a workplace where people feel they belong. That belief continues to influence the way she leads, supports her team, and works with clients across the industry.

Today, Augusta continues to guide AAA Global with the same principle that inspired the business from the beginning: when people are understood, stronger teams, stronger businesses, and lasting professional relationships naturally follow.

Otmane Yassine | Connecting Local Strengths with Global Opportunities

Otmane Yassine

“Every country has something unique to offer. AKAL exists to connect those strengths to the world.”

That belief has shaped Otmane Yassine’s work from the beginning. Based in Geneva, he has focused on building partnerships that bring together local communities, institutions, businesses, and international organisations while encouraging cooperation that respects each country’s identity.

Otmane is the Founder of AKAL Brand®, Founder of AKAL INVEST, President of AKAL Développements, and President of IPPO Genève (International Patriotic Pact Organization). Across these initiatives, his work centres on economic cooperation, territorial development, investment, and sustainable partnerships.

The idea behind AKAL grew from a simple observation. Countries have their own resources, traditions, industries, and expertise, yet many struggle to gain international visibility while preserving what makes them unique. Rather than creating a single standard for every market, AKAL was designed as a platform where participating countries can present their own strengths while remaining connected through a shared international network coordinated from Geneva.

This approach has led to territorial initiatives such as SEN-AKAL in Senegal and AKAL-IVOIRE in Côte d’Ivoire. While each reflects the identity of its own country, they are part of a broader framework that encourages cooperation, knowledge sharing, and economic exchange.

Through AKAL INVEST, Otmane also supports investment initiatives that encourage the development of local industries, strengthen partnerships, and create opportunities for long-term economic growth. Alongside this work, he has placed importance on education by encouraging collaboration between universities, researchers, and international development projects. His aim is to create opportunities where academic knowledge can contribute to practical solutions.

Geneva remains at the centre of this vision, serving as the meeting point where governments, entrepreneurs, institutions, NGOs, investors, and international partners can come together to explore new opportunities for collaboration.

Much of Otmane’s work brings together economic development, international cooperation, territorial branding, and sustainable development. It is guided by the belief that countries do not need to lose their identity to participate in global opportunities. Instead, they can strengthen what already makes them unique while working alongside others.

His philosophy, “From Local to Global – Ubuntu,” reflects that perspective. For Otmane Yassine, cooperation is built not by making countries the same, but by creating opportunities that allow each one to grow while preserving its own identity.

Kristin Bone | Choosing the Work That Matters Most

Kristin Bone

“Some people spend their careers following a single path. Kristin Bone built hers by saying yes to the work that mattered, even when it didn’t fit neatly into a title.”

That decision has taken her into places most people never experience. One day she’s leading a nursing team inside a psychiatric unit. Another day she’s on a film set helping bring an independent production to life. While the settings couldn’t be more different, Kristin sees a common thread running through all of them: people, pressure, and the responsibility that comes with both.

For more than a decade, Kristin has worked as a registered nurse and nursing supervisor in psychiatric units, correctional facilities, emergency departments, rehabilitation centres, and long-term care settings. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she stepped into travel nursing, moving between hospitals across the United States to support facilities facing severe staffing shortages. It was demanding work, but it also shaped the way she thinks about leadership, resilience, and showing up when people need you most.

Her academic background reflects that balance between healthcare and leadership. Kristin earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washburn University before completing an MBA at the University of Saint Mary, bringing together clinical knowledge with a broader understanding of organisations and the systems that support them.

Outside healthcare, Kristin found another way to tell stories. As an actress and independent film producer, she works with Cinemaddict Films and Gaimchang3r Entertainment. Among the projects closest to her is Pony, a film exploring mental health, the fentanyl crisis, family, and female motorsports. The film is complete and is currently being submitted to film festivals around the world. A world premiere is in the works, but a date has not yet been set. Follow the Pony Movie Instagram page for updates and to learn how to support the film.

That same willingness to step into unfamiliar spaces has also shaped her work beyond nursing and film. Kristin serves on the Advisory Council for the Customer Experience Certificate Program at Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business and is a Global Advisory Board Member of the Fortuna Business Council.

Recognition has followed along the way. In 2025, she was named Transformational Leader of the Year by White Page International and honoured at the House of Lords in London. She has also been recognised among the Global 200 Women Power Leaders, the Brainz 500 Global list, received a CREA Global Award, and contributed as an Executive Contributor to Brainz Magazine.

Looking back, Kristin doesn’t describe her career as carefully planned. Instead, it has been shaped by opportunities to make a difference, whether that meant caring for patients, producing stories that reflect real life, or contributing to conversations about leadership and mental health. Across every role, one thing has remained constant: a willingness to step forward when the work matters most.

Nayan Patel | Leading with Values, Purpose, and People

Nayan Patel

“A vision may start with one person, but it truly comes to life through teamwork.”

That belief has guided Nayan Patel throughout nearly three decades in the automotive manufacturing industry. Over 28 years, he has worked in Tier 1 manufacturing environments, partnering with leadership teams to strengthen operations while keeping people, culture, and accountability at the centre of every decision.

Nayan’s career has been shaped by operational leadership and organisational development. Working in director-level leadership roles within Piston Group, he has contributed to building operational discipline, supporting workforce engagement, and helping organisations align their long-term objectives with day-to-day execution. His experience also includes collaborating across supplier operations, strengthening executive communication, and encouraging cross-functional teamwork in complex manufacturing environments.

Alongside his operational expertise, Nayan has played a role in developing organisational culture and core values that support business growth. Rather than viewing culture as a separate initiative, he believes it should be reflected in the way leaders communicate, make decisions, and work with their teams.

Today, as a Certified FocalPoint Business & Executive Advisor, Nayan works with business leaders on operational leadership, organisational effectiveness, strategic growth, and leadership alignment. His approach combines years of manufacturing experience with practical business advisory, helping organisations strengthen performance while creating workplaces where people can contribute with confidence.

His professional background is supported by qualifications that include Six Sigma Black Belt, OSHA General Industry Trainer, and a degree from Lawrence Technological University. Together, they reflect his commitment to continuous learning and operational excellence.

Beyond his professional experience, Nayan is guided by a set of personal values that influence the way he leads and advises others. He believes in the importance of self-belief, lifelong learning, empowerment, integrity, diversity, and teamwork. For him, leadership is not about individual recognition but about creating an environment where others can grow, make informed decisions, and work towards shared goals.

Reflecting on his own journey, Nayan believes he found his purpose by leading with sincerity and authenticity. Inspired by the resilience and determination associated with Motown, he continues to encourage leaders to build organisations where strong values and ethical leadership remain at the heart of every decision.

Today, Nayan continues to support organisations facing complex operational challenges, helping leadership teams strengthen alignment, improve organisational effectiveness, and build cultures that support long-term success.

Sridhar Kuppa | Helping Businesses Make Better Financial Decisions

Sridhar Kuppa

“Finance should do more than explain what happened. It should help leaders make better decisions about what happens next.”

For Sridhar Kuppa, finance has never been just about reporting numbers or closing the books. Throughout a career spanning more than 25 years, he has worked with founders, executives, and growing businesses, helping them use financial information as a tool for better decision-making. Whether in public accounting, corporate finance, consulting, or strategic advisory, his focus has remained the same: turning financial complexity into practical insight that supports sustainable growth.

Sridhar’s professional journey began with Ernst & Young (EY) India, where he spent more than seven years in the Assurance practice. The experience gave him a strong grounding in financial reporting, governance, and audit while exposing him to the demands of large-scale business operations. During his time at EY, he received the EY Sparkle Award in recognition of his integrity and ethical leadership and contributed to a major IPO engagement.

As his career progressed, Sridhar took on finance leadership roles with organisations including Aurobindo Pharma, Amneal Pharmaceuticals, and Solomon Edwards. Across these roles, he worked on financial reporting, transaction advisory, ERP implementations, financial planning, cash flow management, and finance transformation. The variety of these experiences gave him a practical understanding of the financial decisions businesses face as they grow, evolve, and adapt to changing markets.

Today, Sridhar is the Co-Founder of Huntward Advisors, where he partners with founders, CEOs, and finance leaders to build finance functions that support better business decisions. His work spans CFO advisory, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), cash flow forecasting, outsourced finance and accounting, and decision support. Rather than viewing finance as a function focused solely on reporting, he helps leadership teams use financial information to plan ahead, manage uncertainty, and make informed strategic choices.

His professional experience is complemented by qualifications earned across both India and the United States. Sridhar is a Chartered Accountant (India) and a Certified Public Accountant (USA). He also holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Osmania University, combining technical financial expertise with a broader understanding of business strategy.

In 2026, Sridhar was recognised at the Founders 2.0 Conference in Las Vegas, where he also participated in discussions on leadership, entrepreneurship, and experiential learning. After building much of his career in the United States, he relocated to India to establish and lead Huntward Advisors’ offshore operations, bringing together global financial experience with scalable delivery for growing businesses.

For Sridhar, the most meaningful part of finance isn’t found in spreadsheets or reports. It’s in helping leaders make confident decisions, prepare for what’s ahead, and build businesses that can grow with purpose. That belief continues to guide his work as he supports organisations looking to turn financial insight into lasting business value.

Conclusion

If there’s one thing these top 10 global leaders prove, it’s that impact rarely happens overnight. It’s built slowly, tested repeatedly, and often goes unnoticed until much later, when someone finally looks back and realizes how much actually changed. None of them took the easy route. All of them left something behind that’s bigger than their own name. And in a world obsessed with instant results, that kind of staying power is worth paying attention to.
