The activities of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Jeffrey Epstein, and Ghislane Maxwell when they were at Balmoral Castle are being investigated by Police Scotland. The investigation is related to claims that women were trafficked to the royal residence in Aberdeenshire, according to the Daily Express. It is believed that Mountbatten-Windsor, who has previously denied any wrongdoing, visited the castle with sex offender Epstein, who passed away in 2019, and Maxwell, who was imprisoned for sex trafficking in 2022. According to Police Scotland, the investigation at “a very early stage” and more remark would be improper.
A request for comment has been made to Mountbatten-Windsor representatives. Queen Elizabeth II passed away in 2022 at Balmoral, where the Royal family customarily spends the summer. A Police Scotland representative responded to a question on the Express report by saying, “We have received information and active enquiries are ongoing but these are at a very early stage.”The needs of victim survivors are at the center of all evidence-based investigations. It would be improper to talk further, and we would never reveal the specifics of ongoing enquiries.” The force stated in February that it would like to “speak to anyone with information” on Epstein’s use of Edinburgh Airport for his private jet. Officers reported that they had not received any complaints or reports on the trip at the time.
