For the first time, UK prosecutors have disclosed that they have approved 21 charges against Andrew and Tristan Tate, including human trafficking, rape, and serious bodily injury. Before an extradition warrant was issued to return the brothers from Romania, the Crown Prosecution Service claimed that it had approved the accusations against them in 2024.
The CPS stated that “the domestic criminal matters in Romania must be settled first” about the two British-Americans who are being investigated in Romania and are facing several accusations that they deny. Following receipt of a dossier including evidence from Bedfordshire Police about allegations made in the UK, the CPS decided to charge the individual.
According to the CPS, 38-year-old influencer and former kickboxer Andrew Tate is facing 10 counts related to three alleged victims, including managing prostitution for profit, rape, real bodily injury, and human trafficking.
Tristan Tate, 36, is charged with 11 offences, including rape, actual bodily injury, and human trafficking, all of which are related to a single claimed victim. Both of them were born in the United States, but following their parents’ divorce, they went to Luton, UK, with their mother.
Self-described misogynist Andrew Tate has amassed a sizable online following in recent years, with over 10 million followers on X, previously Twitter, where he shares details of his fast-car, private plane, and boat lifestyle.
