The second and last day of the Sharjah International Conference on Education: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Beyond (SICE 2025) was held at the American University of Sharjah (AUS). The University of Sharjah (UoS) and AUS collaborated to produce this year’s event, which was sponsored by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the ruler of Sharjah and a member of the Supreme Council.
AUS President Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi attended the second day of the conference, which brought together academics, researchers, and business leaders to discuss the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in workforce development and higher education. The first day of the conference was held at UoS.
Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour gave a welcome speech to kick off the day. Professor Esameldin Agamy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, then gave a welcome address, emphasising the value of academic collaborations in promoting innovation in the UAE’s educational system.
“As educators and innovators, we have a shared responsibility to adapt to artificial intelligence and thoughtfully shape its integration in ways that uplift our students – and society,” Sheikha Bodour said during her speech at the conference. We can guarantee that AI enhances human potential rather than replaces it by integrating empathy, creativity, and critical thinking into schooling. This meeting is a testament to our dedication to investigating AI’s transformational potential responsibly, cooperatively, and intentionally.
