The FBI shot and killed an armed man who was holding hostages inside a facility in California that housed a bank branch and a school district office, authorities said Wednesday.
The suspect was killed in an officer-involved shooting involving Federal Bureau of Investigation personnel,” the Bakersfield Police Department stated in a statement. Police said they were called to the building, which took roughly 12 hours. All the hostages were freed unharmed, authorities added.
